Hello! I'm the author of The Nineth card, Loby! I was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador, where I've lived my whole life. As you can probably tell, my hobby is drawing, and I love manga (japanese comics)! I'm alone and enjoying it right now, but I always try to make time to my friends (and to make new ones of course!).
Getting the Inspiration
Contrary to what many people think, my first inspiration isn't manga, but nature itself. I often feel inspired just by looking at the trees, mountains or the sky... Other thing that inspires me is "How to draw manga" books!! I love them! And of course, reading some good-old jidaimono manga!
The Materials
Well I don't honestly use authentic manga-ka materials... my materials are quite simple: Pencils (from 4H to 4B, 6B and 8B), speedgraphers (0.1, 0.2, two 0.5, 0.8), permanent markers and a gel marker. A heart-shaped sharpener (I really like it!) and a couple of erasers. Regular -or sometimes recycled- paper. That's it!
